The Short Version
We don't collect your data. Period.
All tools on Open ASD store data locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. We can't see your data, we can't sell it, and we can't lose it in a breach—because we never have it.
What We Don't Collect
- Personal information (names, emails, etc.)
- Usage data or analytics that identify you
- Cookies for tracking purposes
- Your tool data (energy logs, scripts, preferences)
- IP addresses or device fingerprints
Where Your Data Lives
All data from our interactive tools is stored in your browser's localStorage. This means:
- Your data stays on your device
- Only you can access it
- It persists between visits (unless you clear browser data)
- You can export or delete it anytime
Third-Party Services
We use minimal external services:
- Google Fonts — For typography (Fraunces, Atkinson Hyperlegible, JetBrains Mono). Google may collect anonymous usage data.
- Cloudflare — For hosting and CDN. They may collect standard server logs.
We don't use any analytics, advertising, or social media tracking scripts.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. Your data is fully under your control in your browser.
To clear all Open ASD data from your browser:
- Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12)
- Go to Application → Local Storage
- Find entries starting with "open-asd"
- Right-click and delete
Why Privacy Matters to Us
We believe privacy is especially important for tools that help you understand yourself. As autistic people ourselves, we know that personal data—especially data about energy levels, coping strategies, and daily struggles—is deeply personal.
You shouldn't have to trade your privacy for tools that help you.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how we handle data (we don't plan to), we'll update this page. Our commitment to not collecting your data is fundamental to who we are.
